DESCRIPTION:If you are free this long weekend\, you are absolutely invited to join us for this pollinator habitat enhancement project work party! We will be clearing the vegetation from a weedy boulevard to prep the site for a mix of native shrubs and herbaceous plants. All tools will be provided! \nWhen: Saturday Aug 30 10am – 12pm\nWhere: Needham and Haliburton\, Nanaimo\nRSVP: stewardship@nalt.bc.ca\, please let us know you will be coming so we can be sure to have enough tools for everyone \nThis project is the brainchild of a Needham St neighbour\, who wants her neighbourhood to be beautiful AND provide ecosystem function. If you are keen to start a project like this in your neighbourhood\, connect with us and we will support you in the steps of project design\, securing funding\, building partnerships and getting permissions\, workparty organization for site prep and planting\, and site maintenance. \nNot able to make this work party\, but want to help out with this project? We will have two more work parties this fall\, so keep a lookout for those notices!
